RACING SCHEDULE LAKE MOHAWK YACHT CLUB 2008

Serving as Race Official is a duty and responsibility of all sailing members.
If you cannot serve your assigned date YOU MUST find someone ton switch with.
All changes MUST be approved by the Race Committee Chairman

Race Officials Duties

Preparing the race course, including setting bouys for a 1:00 pm Start.

Consulting with R.C. (Chairman & Fleet Capts) on the proper course for the day.

Holding a Skippers meeting as necessary to explain any special circumstances for the day.

Starting races ON TIME

Conducting the races in accordance with ISAF regulations, except where amended by LMYC BOG.

Scoring each contestant and recording the results in the Race Committee Book.

Chairing and or forming the committee to resolve any protests after the races.

Returning equipment neatly to the storage areas, refueling and covering the Committee Boat.

Removing garbage, cleaning up, securing hoists and locking up.

Reminders:

Race officials from days when racing is canceled may be reassigned as needed

You should show up no later than 12:15 to accomplish prerace duties.

Regattas are sailed during regular racing but scored separately.
